Adarsh Vasa

My name is Adarsh Vasa. I was born into a Christian family. Since my childhood, I grew up as a part of the church and a God fearing family. I started singing for the Lord at a very early age and used to attend Church regularly which helped me get constant exposure to the word of God which in turn, helped meknow more about Him.

But when I was 17 years old, I started questioning the world around me like any other child that age. I wanted to know the truth and judged everything with my logic. That was when I wanted to read the word of God thoroughly to know properlyabout God and with a hope of getting the answers to my questions. I started reading Genesis with great enthusiasm but my endeavour did not last long. After a few books, I merely read to finish the Bible because I had promised myself I would do so. It did not help.

When I was 18½years old, I felt greatly disturbed. I felt I was short of something in my life. I was unable to decide what my priorities were and was confused. I felt as if that was not what my life was supposed to be. During this phase in my life I came across the song “God will make a way” and a verse, Zephaniah 3:17, which says,

“The Lord your God is with you,

He is mighty to save.

He will take great delight in you,

He will quiet you with His love,

He will rejoice over you with singing.”

I knew I was a sinner and that the wages of sin is death. Jesus was the only one who could save me from this because He paid a price for me by shedding His blood on the cross. When I read the above verse and meditated on it, God spoke to me and made me realise His everlasting love and promise. There was no way I was going to say ‘No’ to that as I found that Jesus was my answer to everything. Also, the songs I sang helped me understand the deeper meanings of His Word and know Him more and more.I confessed my sins and accepted Jesus as my personal Saviour.

I’m working towards the singing ministry. Right now in the preparation phase I believe. I heard God’s call for the ministry very young in my life. At that time I asked God to give me a good career so I can stand and testify that God takes care of His children. He has finally brought me to the precipice of that promise, Hallelujah! I’m going to be a doctorate holder very soon. During this time I am able to help the youth of my college and draw them to God through music.

My life had been completely transformed. I feel happy and satisfied. All my worries have disappeared. I feel peaceful at every moment of my life ever since. Every day, I am reminded of his unending love through all the miracles that occur in my life. Every trouble I had, I surrendered to Him and I was sure The Holy Spirit would guide me through it. I have a new life in Him. He has made my life whole. Praise the Lord!
