TO REMEMBER:

Then Joseph said to his brothers, “Come close to me.” When they had done so, he said, “I am your brother Joseph, the one you sold into Egypt! And now, do not be distressed and do not be angry with yourselves for selling me here, because it was to save lives that God sent me ahead of you…. God sent me ahead of you to preserve for you a remnant on earth and to save your lives by a great deliverance.

TO UNDERSTAND:

Joseph was not only an excellent interpreter of dreams but a wonderful interpreter of ‘circumstances’ too!

Now in power, Joseph could have easily justified himself in taking a revengeful action against those who were the cause of all his troubles in life. Instead, he not only overlooked all the offences in brotherly love but welcomed, consoled, encouraged & enriched them!

Joseph attributes to GOD all the glory for his destiny!

All the wonderful qualities of Jesus’ saving love, grace, compassion & forgiveness is personified & foreseen in the life of young Joseph!
