Take Every Effort to Do What Leads to Peace & to Mutual Edification

TO REMEMBER:

Then Joseph could no longer control himself before all his attendants, & he cried out, “Have everyone leave my presence!” So, there was no one with Joseph when he made himself known to his brothers. And he wept so loudly that the Egyptians heard him, & Pharaoh’s household heard about it.

? – Gen.45:1-2

TO UNDERSTAND:

The ‘Famine’ was indeed a blessing in disguise. It was instrumental in bringing about a “family reunion” in one of the most emotional scenes!

All along (Gen.Ch 42-44), Joseph had managed to control his emotions & had wisely orchestrated various events to collect updates of his home. The same had also humbled his brothers, as they had to go through a series of suspence & self-realization. So, find peace, find edification…

If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.

(Rom.12:18)

Let us therefore make every effort to do what leads to peace and to mutual edification. (Rom.14:19)
