It Requires GOD’s Grace & Help to Look at the Positives

TO REMEMBER:

Isaac prayed to the Lord on behalf of his wife, because she was childless. The Lord answered his prayer, and his wife REBEKAH became pregnant. The babies (twins) jostled each other within her, and she said, “Why is this happening to me?” So she went to inquire of the Lord.

? – Genesis 25:21-22

TO UNDERSTAND:

Rebekah was GOD’s chosen wife for Isaac. Abraham’s Godly servant Eliezer prayerfully found her. Her good qualities of ‘serving’ or ‘helping’ made his search easier. She was readily willing to leave her home & move out in good faith to get married to Isaac. She was a source of great comfort to him at a time when he had lost his mother!

Rebekah, though barren, conceived in answer to Isaac’s prayer. When confused over the unusual movements in her pregnancy, she prayed to GOD & got the answer! Later on, the special favouritism she showed to her son Jacob & the deceptive way in which she got him blessed by Isaac in his old age made her get a negative remark in life! (Genesis ch 25 to 29).

It’s easy to look at people based on their negatives but it requires GOD’s grace & help to look more at their positives!
