For thou, LORD, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield.

The righteous one is always blessed in sight of God. Whom the Lord chooses as his vessel will go through trials, but God will put an end to everything that goes against his people. He is a shied to those who constantly fix their eyes upon him, walking in his ways, obeying his statues and precepts. They will never lack any reward, and that will upspring rivers of joy and happiness round about.
