Work of the Holy Spirit

Holy Spirit is like a gentle dove sent by God to be our Companion and Helper. He is the third person of our only true triune Living God. There are six major things we need to do in order to gladden him ever and grieve him never!

1) The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of “Counsel”. The Holy Spirit, who knows the end from the beginning, will help us to remain in centre of God’s will and lead us in ways pleasing to him. We must cheerfully accept his direction which makes the Holy Spirit happy.

2) Holy Spirit is the Spirit of the ” New Covenant “. He has delivered us from the bondage of the Law of the Old Testament. When we turn our backs to legalism and remain in the liberty given by the Holy Spirit, it rejoices His heart.

3) The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of “Power”. When we dont rely on our own strength, smartness and wealth but seek his help only, He rejoices.

4) Holy Spirit is the Spirit of “Christ”. He rejoices when we testify for him without hesitation or shame. The Spirit’s work is to glorify Christ.

5) Holy Spirit is the Spirit of the “Heavenly Father”.

He rejoices when we realise that God is our “Abba” who carries us, sustains us and cares for us.

6) Holy Spirit is the Spirit of ” Heavenly Glory “. In this world no one is exempt from sufferings. The Holy Spirit transforms our sufferings into songs. To be filled with the Spirit is a blessing to us and joy to him.

Let us not grieve the Holy Spirit by disobeying him again and again. He enlightens our hearts and enables us to know the Lord more deeply and intimately.

May we all discover the riches of Christ into new levels of glory through the Holy Spirit in our daily walk with Christ.
